Meet Dr. CutoloDr. Cutolo begins by cleansing your skin thoroughly and then applying an antibiotic ointment. To keep you comfortable throughout the procedure, he typically uses a local anesthetic, as well as oral sedation in some cases. Using a carbon dioxide (C02) laser, Dr. Cutolo precisely ablates your skin’s tissue, gently removing each layer to achieve the right treatment for your needs. He applies antibiotic cream and bandages after the procedure to reduce swelling.
Resting and limiting your movements can help you to heal quickly and completely. Most people heal within a few days, and any residual pink color can be camouflaged by makeup. The pink color then resolves to reveal your new and improved complexion and skin texture. Some patients experience mild discomfort, which can be treated with oral medication. During your consultation, Dr. Cutolo will provide detailed instructions on how to care for your skin during the healing process.
