Skin Resurfacing Choices
Clear + Brilliant™ Laser
This innovative new treatment helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, wrinkles and dark spots. It can even help sagging skin that sometimes results from long-term overexposure to the sun. It can be used for patients of any age, and the non-invasive treatment is performed with little or no pain. This extremely gentle laser tones the skin and adds shine with minimal downtime.
Luxar CO2 Laser
This laser system has 2 settings. The Ultra Pulse setting is used to gently remove a thin layer of skin to correct minor blemishes such as acne scars and wrinkles. With the Regular setting, we can remove deeper-seated irregularities such as warts, lesions and some skin cancers.
Radiancy SkinStation™ IPL
A standard for skin rejuvenation, this intense pulsed light (IPL) laser device is used to correct acne, vascular lesions, rosacea, wrinkles and conditions such as psoriasis. The SkinStation can also be used for laser hair removal and collagen renewal, as well as to promote firmer, tighter skin.
This heat-based system is used to treat small facial telangiectasia (dilated surface vessels), hemangiomas (vascular tumors) and spider veins. The non-laser, thermal approach often provides a solution for unsightly veins that have been resistant to sclerotherapy, IPL or laser treatment.

Your Laser Skin Resurfacing Procedure
Dr. Cutolo begins by cleansing your skin thoroughly, and then applying an antibiotic ointment. To keep you comfortable throughout the procedure, he typically uses a local anesthetic, as well as oral sedation in some cases. Using a carbon dioxide (C02) laser, Dr. Cutolo precisely ablates your skin’s tissue, gently removing each layer to achieve the right treatment for your needs. He applies antibiotic cream and bandages after the procedure to reduce swelling.
Recovery After Laser Skin Resurfacing
Resting and limiting your movements can help you to heal quickly and completely. Most people heal within a few days and any residual pink color can be camouflaged by makeup. The pink color then resolves to reveal your new and improved complexion and skin texture. Some patients experience mild discomfort, which can be treated with oral medication. During your consultation, Dr. Cutolo will provide you with detailed instructions on how to care for your skin during the healing process.
Laser Skin Resurfacing Results and Benefits
After laser skin resurfacing, patients typically are impressed with how much younger they look. In addition to removing or minimizing acne scars, wrinkles, facial lines, “sun spots,” and other imperfections, laser resurfacing treatments stimulate new collagen. Over time, the skin consequently becomes smoother and more evenly textured.Back to Top
