Laser Skin Resurfacing Before & After Case 242

This is a 73 year old female who disliked the deep lines that had developed over the years on her lips and chin.  She wanted to do something to improve their appearance that was longer lasting than adding fillers. 

We discussed laser resurfacing as a method to improve the appearance of the lines.  She pre treated her skin with a skin "bleach" in order to turn off the cells that cause hyperpigmentation as a reaction to this treatment. She was treated with the Deka CO2 laser and the procedure was done under local anesthesia in the office.

Her healing phase took approximately one week.  Her skin was then pink in color at that time and she was able to apply makeup to conceal the color.  The wrinkle improvement  was seen immediately and would continue to improve over time - as the skin continues to contract.

She is seen in the post op photo at 6 months after the treatment.  She wrinkle improvement continues for at least another six months.
