Laser Skin Resurfacing Before & After Case 150

This is a 64 year old female who disliked the aging changes that were happening around her mouth.  She noticed that over the years she was developing a loss of volume and deeper wrinkles that made her appear older than she really appeared.

She came to the office to discuss her options.  Previously fat transfer and upper blepharoplasty had been performed to her face (see other photos in "Eyelid Surgery" section).  Fat was not added to her perioral region because of the potential for over inflation of the lips if she were to gain weight at a later date.  Fillers were discussed as well but it was decided that she would obtain the best result by undergoing CO2 laser resurfacing. 

The procedure was performed under local anesthesia in the office and she was healed in approximately 1 week.  The skin continues to contract for one year after the procedure so the results will continue to improve over time.

She seen here at 3 months after the procedure.  The slight redness continues to improve and ultimately disappear.  Fillers can be added at a later date if she still desires to increase the volume in her lips. She loves her new look and achieved her goals safely!
