Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 248

This is a 40 year old female who disliked the skin that was hanging over her eyelids and thought that it was giving her an appearance that she was tired.  She also disliked the fullness in her chin and neck.  She wanted to improve both at the same time and without using general anesthesia.  

She came to the office to discuss her options and it was decided that she could undergo and upper eyelid blepharoplasty with an endotine brow lift.  The endotine brow lift is done by inserting clips under the skin to help subtlety elevate the outer end of the brow. This is done through the same incision as the blepharoplasty so no other scars are needed.  The clip dissolves in 6 months and the brow stays in its elevated position. The scar is hidden in the eyelid crease and becomes hardly visible over time. 

Liposuction of the submental region was also performed at the same time.  This removes fat and will reduce the fullness in that region.  The skin contracts over time. 

Both were done under local anesthesia with mild oral sedation.  Her recovery time was one week and the eyelid and liposuction sutures were removed a week after the procedure. 

She is seen in the post op photos 4 months after the procedure.  She loves her new and refreshed look!
