Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 146

This is a 49 year old female who did not like the look of her breasts.  As a result of multiple pregnancies, she lost volume and wanted to regain a fuller and more youthful appearance.  She wanted to be able to fill out her clothes without using any padding in her bra.  She came to the office to discuss a breast augmentation.

All of her options were discussed during the consultation and it was finally decided that 533cc silicone implants would be used.  As a result of the pregnancies, her left nipple was slightly lower than the right nipple.  We improved the asymmetry by performing a "crescent mastopexy" a few weeks prior to the augmentation.  This involved removing a small amount of skin above the areolar on the left side in order to raise the nipple so that it would be in approximately the same horizontal plane as the one on the right side. This was done in the office under local anesthesia with no downtime and leaves a small and hardly visible scar around the top of the areolar. 

A few weeks later, smooth round moderate profile Allergan/Natrelle 533cc silicone implants were placed into a pocket below the muscle by an inframammary incision.  These implants filled out the excess skin, replenished the lost volume and gave her the fullness that she desired.

She is seen in the post op photos 2 months after the procedure.
