Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 116

This is a 48-year-old female who wanted to improve the fullness and projection of her breasts.  She thought that a lift would be the answer, but because her nipples were above the level of her inframammary folds, a breast augmentation was the proper option.  Placement of implants would add fullness in all dimensions and would slightly lift the nipples as well.  The breast augmentation would also save her the more obvious incisions that the lift would require.

After a thorough consultation discussing the different types of implants, access incision and the space for the implants(above or below the muscle), 533cc round, smooth walled silicone implants were chosen.  These would best fit her breast size in order to provide good upper pole fullness, projection, and also give a slight lift to the nipples. 

She underwent the procedure which lasted about 1 and 1/2 hours and went home the same day.  Approximately one week later she was back to work and her other usual activities.
