Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 208

This is a 51 year old female who thought that she appeared tired.  She also disliked the excess skin that was developing in her neck and contributing to the development of jowls.  She wanted to refresh her look and address a few issues at the same time - in order to regain her more youthful appearance. 

During the discussion, she explained that she disliked the excess skin in her upper eyes and the puffiness in her lower eyes.  In order to address these issues she underwent an endotine brow lift and a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.  The brow lift is done through the upper eyelid.  After removing the excess skin on her upper eyelid, a small "clip" is applied, much like a picture hanger", and it elevates the outer end of her brow.  This reduces the fullness associated with appearing tired.  The clip dissolves 6 months after the procedure and the brow stays in its new position. 

Her lower eyelid was addressed by removing fat.  There are no skin incisions so the fat is removed from the inside.  This insures that the lower eyelid does not change shape.  Removing the fat provides a smoother lower eyelid contour and reduces the tired appearance as well.

The appearance of jowls and excess skin in her cheek and neck was addressed with a Rejuvelift.  This procedure elevates the jowls to a position above the jawline and will tighten the neck muscles.  Any excess skin that is present is removed.

The procedures were all performed at the same time under local anesthesia in the office. She healed well and was back to her regular activities in under two weeks. 

She is seen in the post op photos approximately 3 months after the procedure.

She loves her rejuvenated appearance and thinks she looks like she did 10 years ago.
