Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 109

This 53 year old female did not like the excess skin in her upper eyelids and thought that she looked tired.  She wanted to undergo a procedure that would remove some of the skin and give her a refreshed and natural look. 

After a thorough consultation, we decided upon an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. The procedure involves removing some excess skin in her upper eyelids so that she can see more of the shelf of her eyelid. This will make applying makeup easier. 

The procedure was done in the office under local anesthesia and can take under one hour to perform.  She recovered home and sutures were removed one week later.  She was back to her usual activities shortly thereafter.

She loves her new refreshed look and the fact that many of her friends can't figure out exactly what was done - they only can tell that she looks better!  She is seen in the post op photos one year after the procedure.
