Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 179

This is a 58-year-old female who disliked her upper eyelid appearance...she wanted to reduce the excess skin to obtain a more youthful appearance.  She also sought to improve the outer fullness on her brow.  What was most important to her was that she did not want to change the shape of her eyelid and wanted a natural and refreshed appearance.

It was decided that the skin could be removed by performing an upper blepharoplasty.  In order to reduce the lateral brow fullness, a brow lift could be performed at the same time through the eyelid incision.  The subtle brow lift was accomplished by placing a dissolvable "clip" into the bone to elevate the brow.  The clip acts like a picture hook and subtly elevates the outer aspect of the brow.  The clip dissolves over a 6-month period of time.  The clip is placed through the same eyelid incision and the whole procedure is completed under local anesthesia in the office without any sedation!

She underwent the procedure without any difficulties and is seen in these post op photos 3 weeks after the procedure.
