Before & After
Case Details
This 28 year old female disliked what happened to her breasts after an approximately 50lb weight loss and pregnancies. She desired a lift in order to regain her original shape and also wanted to improve fullness and projection. In order to accomplish her goals a mastopexy (breast lift) and an augmentation were performed as two separate procedures. The mastopexy was performed first and the augmentation was performed approximately 6 weeks later. Doing the procedures at two different times is the best way to fully evaluate the breasts to optimize implant selection. The mastopexy (breast lift) removes excess skin and repositions the nipple to a higher position – leaving the breasts looking as if they had been reduced. It is at this time that the implant size can be best evaluated. While both procedures can be performed at once, the best result will be obtained by doing the procedures separately. In this case, 457cc moderate profile silicone implants were implanted six weeks after the breast lift and the same incision that was made for the lift was used to insert the implants. The patient also underwent an abdominoplasty at the same time as the implant insertion and is loves the results.
