Before & After
Case Details
This is a 50 year old female who disliked the "deflated" and "sagging" look of her breasts. After multiple pregnancies, her breasts lost their shape and fullness. She wanted to return her breasts to the shape and fullness that she had prior to the volume loss due to pregnancies. She came to the office to discuss her options for a breast augmentation.
Because the changes in her breasts left her with a slightly lower nipple on the right than on the left side and because both of her nipples were slightly below her breast folds, it was decided that a "crescent mastopexy" would get her breasts into the best position for the later addition of implants. The "crescent mastopexy" is a minor lift that is done by removing a small crescent shaped amount of skin above the nipples. This will pull the nipples to a slightly higher position so that they would now be pointing straight rather than slightly downward. It also pulls the nipples up to the level of her inframammary folds so it would correctly position the breasts and nipples for the addition of implants. The "crescent lift" was done in the office under local anesthesia approximately three weeks prior to the augmentation so that all wounds would be healed prior to the augmentation.
She later underwent the addition of 533cc smooth round moderate profile silicone implants into a pocket under the muscle through an inframammary fold incision. She was back to her usual level of full activities in a week.
She is seen in these post op photos three months after the augmentation and loves her fuller and more youthful look!
