Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 99

This is a 43 year old female who previously underwent a life saving abdominal operation that left her with a large hernia.  The hernia required repair and she wanted to not only improve her abdomen by fixing the hernia but she wanted to be as flat as possible as well.  Pregnancy had also stretched the muscles in her abdominal wall and this in conjunction with the hernia gave her abdomen a shape which she wanted to correct.

After a thorough consultation with the patient and her husband as well as a discussion with the general surgeon who would repair the hernia, it was decided that a tummy tuck (at the same time as the hernia repair) would provide her with the flatest abdomen possible.

She underwent both procedures without difficulties and was back to her usual activities within 2 weeks.  Her wounds healed well and she loves the fact that not only was the hernia repaired, but the excess skin was removed and the abdominal muscles were tightened....all at the same time.

She is seen in these post op photos approximately two months after the procedure.  Her contour and scars will continue to improve as the scars mature.   She is thrilled with her results!
