Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 221

This is a 63 year old female who wanted to improve the shape of her abdomen.  Pregnancies and years of weight gain and loss resulted in excess skin and an abdomen that no longer had the youthful shape that she had remembered.  She wanted to undergo a procedure to get rid of the excess skin and provide as flat an abdomen as possible.  

During our discussion less invasive procedures were considered but none of these would give her the dramatic result that she desired.  She proceeded with a tummy tuck which was done under general anesthesia.  She went home on the same day - no overnight hospitalization was necessary.  Within 10 days her sutures were removed and she was back to her usual activities.

She is seen in the post op photos 2 months after the procedure.  The scars will continue to lighten over time and there will be some further skin contraction as well.
