Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 110

This is a 41 year old female who disliked the excess skin in her abdomen.  Since her pregnancies, she noted that her abdomen was no longer flat and she desired to return it to the pre pregnancy state.  After a lengthy discussion we decided that an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) would help her reach her goals quickly and safely.  The procedure involves removing the excess skin below the belly button and tightening the abdominal muscles.  The muscle tightening can only be achieved by this procedure and it is this part of the procedure (muscle tightening) that is responsible for providing the flattest abdomen possible.

She underwent the procedure in the ambulatory surgery center of the hospital and went home the same day.  She healed well and is seen here six weeks after the procedure.  Her scars will continue to lighten as they mature.
